This work was made in the mid-nineties and is closely related to personal growth.  With the change of times and concepts, the conflict between ideal and reality, the artist intended exploring the subject of her generation and multiple levels of female issues:what is a woman? or How is a woman valued? Through her friend in the picture who was to give birth, with Mao’s portraits and red flags scattered around the room, her body language and facial expression  implied a certain unspeakable melancholy and speculation of fate from the psychological layers.
